Bloom Cup Matcha Menu & Prices
Where traditional Kyoto ceremonial green tea meets delicate botanical floral blossoms. Bloom Cup’s matcha series is ground from first-harvest tencha tea leaves shaded for 25 days before harvest, hand-whisked to order with bamboo whisks, and layered into silky farm milk or oat alternatives.
How Bloom Cup does matcha
Unlike mass-market tea shops that use dull, culinary-grade green powders filled with added maltodextrin and artificial food coloring, Bloom Cup imports authentic ceremonial stone-milled matcha directly from shaded tencha gardens in Uji and Kyoto.
Each serving is prepared using an authentic 100-prong bamboo chasen whisk, creating a vivid jade-green micro-foam. The intense savory umami and gentle vegetative sweetness of the green tea are then paired with delicate floral syrups—such as organic damask rose, night-blooming jasmine, or fragrant camellia blossoms—producing an unforgettable, multi-layered sip.
All five signature matcha creations are handcrafted fresh to order. Prices range between $7.79 and $8.49.

Sweetness for matcha
Pure ceremonial matcha contains natural vegetal astringency and umami amino acids. Because of this, sweetness plays a crucial role in rounding out the cup:
- 50% Sweetness (Recommended Standard): The default recommendation at Bloom Cup. Balances the grassy green tea tannins while preserving clean tea notes.
- 30% Sweetness (Tea Enthusiast): Perfect if you want to taste the authentic vegetative, seaweed, and broth-like umami character of high-grade tencha.
- 0% Sweetness (Unsweetened Purist): Deeply vegetal and savory. Recommended only for experienced matcha drinkers.

Matcha frequently asked questions
What grade of matcha does Bloom Cup use?
Bloom Cup uses ceremonial-grade, first-harvest stone-milled matcha sourced directly from shaded tencha gardens in Kyoto, Japan. This gives the tea its electric emerald color and rich, naturally savory L-theanine umami notes without any harsh bitterness.
Are Bloom Cup matcha drinks sweetened by default?
Yes, matcha drinks are prepared at 50% house sweetness by default to balance the deep, earthy umami of Japanese green tea. If you love the bold, grassy bite of traditional chado tea, you can customize your order to 30% or 0% unsweetened at the kiosk.
Can matcha drinks be ordered dairy-free?
Yes! Barista oat milk is a recommended pairing with our matcha drinks (such as the Strawberry Matcha). However, please note that the Salted Cream Matcha and Cloud series use dairy-based whipping cream that cannot be made vegan.
Does Bloom Cup offer hot matcha drinks?
Yes. The Rose Matcha Latte and classic ceremonial matcha drinks can be requested hot. When ordered hot, baristas steam fresh whole milk or oat milk to 145°F to ensure the delicate antioxidants and aroma of the matcha are not scalded.
